Default Just bought the game...help...hardware malfunction

I thought I'd see what all the fuss about Guild Wars is about, so I bought it today.

Unfortunately, upon booting up Guild Wars it says that there is a hardware malfunction, so I can't even get past the sign-up screen.

I don't have memory issues and have a Radeon 9800XT.

I've played Vanguard, Warhammer Mark of Chaos, GRAW 2 and many other PC games in the last couple of years and not had a problem.

Does anyone know how I can fix this, rather than putting the game on ebay?

Thanks

Need more info than "I had a hardware malfunction"! What's your full system specs and what error message do you recieve?

On a different subject, you played GRAW2 on a 9800XT?

Make sure DX is up to date, as well as all your drivers. Did you install the game from the CD? or did you download it.

Since you are saying all your other games work fine I'm guessing it might just be a corrupt installation. Try reinstalling. I would recommend you download the game from the Official Guild Wars Site

Leave the download to run overnight, and be sure to use the -image command in the target parameters.

Please provide more info about this "Malfunction" as all we could do otherwise is speculate.
